n8n

n8n reaches UberLLM through its OpenAI credential, with the base URL changed. Use it with the OpenAI Chat Model node (inside an AI Agent or Basic LLM Chain).

To make videos and images in n8n, import one of the n8n video templates.

Before you start

• An UberLLM account with credit, and an API key from Dashboard → Keys (ull_...).

1. Create the credential

1. In n8n, create a new credential of type OpenAI.
2. Fill in:
   • API Key: your ull_... key
   • Organization ID (optional): leave empty
   • Base URL: https://api.uberllm.dev/v1
3. Optional: turn on Add Custom Header and set Header Name X-Title, Header Value n8n. This tells UberLLM which app sent the request.
4. Save. n8n tests the credential by loading https://api.uberllm.dev/v1/models.

2. Use it in the OpenAI Chat Model node

1. Add an AI Agent or Basic LLM Chain node, then attach an OpenAI Chat Model sub-node and select the UberLLM credential.
2. Model: choose By ID and type a model id, for example deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash. (From List also works, but it lists every UberLLM model, including image and video models.)
3. Turn Use Responses API off. Recent versions of the node turn it on by default. UberLLM serves the Responses API too, but this setup was tested on chat completions.

Recommended models

Checked on 2026-10-30: each one answered and made a tool call through UberLLM.

The plain OpenAI node

The plain OpenAI node's Text → Message a Model action calls the Responses API only. Its built-in tools (web search, file search) run on OpenAI's own servers and are not available through UberLLM. For agents, use the OpenAI Chat Model node above.
